Swami Chaitanya is a legacy cannabis farmer who has had his hands in the soil since the 1970's. After many years living as an ex-pat hippie in South America and India, where he was initiated into a Hindu sect as "Swami", he moved to the mountains of Mendocino County in 2003. “Our ranch is both a sanctuary and a cannabis farm,” he explains. Swami is a craft cultivator whose flowers are grown using regenerative techniques in living soil, with locally sourced amendments primarily from his own land. Swami has been a judge in The Emerald Cup since it began in 2004 and is a creator and teacher in the Ganjier program. His passion is to share knowledge about this precious plant and to raise consciousness about her many benefits.
